I am no supporter of One Nation but the hypocrisy over her plane is disingenuous. All political parties take donations most are untraceable . At least this is transparent.

Editorial: Fighting for survival this World Press Freedom Day
RK Crosby writes that with the end of print newspapers in New England, this World Press Freedom Day, it feels like we’re fighting for press survival.
QW: Coalition fuel reserves plan
This is a better plan than the previous Coalition proposal of overseas storage. However, will the proposed storage be located near current coastal metropolitan sites, or fresh infrastructure strategically placed near major inland agricultural centres? Consider the advantages of ten (10) major storage sites of say 100 million litres (100,000,000 L) located outside towns along […]
QW: TRC does nothing for Manilla’s main street
The local Manilla Precinct Committee (TRC community consultation strategy) has been requesting for some time that the 12 gardens in the main street be planted with suitable plants, at the moment only one and a half gardens are planted the rest are a baron disgrace and have been so for the past two to three […]

QW: Hoenig should look at the footpaths
Minister for LG Ron Hoenig was blown away by Tamworth building etc but what makes a good council is the way it looks after its ratepayers gardens, parks and roads, which is sadly lacking by Mayor Webb and his 5 cronies. Shame on them as the Peel River and the main street footpaths just naming […]

Last week, students and staff across New South Wales returned to schools that are stronger, safer and better resourced because that promise is being honoured. As a mother of […]
QW: Police chase near Anzac Day in Armidale
I was on the Barney St side of the Anzac Day event with my 5 year old when the police chase went past. There is no way they did not know that the Anzac Day event was on – there were heaps of cops there. Surely they should have called it off long before the […]
QW:Booing Reconciliation
I was disgusted to see people booing the Welcome to Country at dawn services in Sydney and Melbourne. On a day meant to honour sacrifice, dignity and shared remembrance, some chose ignorance and division instead. The booing was especially shameful given the long record of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service in every major conflict […]
QW: Howard’s Politics of Division
Whenever the Coalition comes under pressure, the same reflex returns: stir anxiety about borders, migration and who belongs here. It is a formula refined during the Howard years and one the party still reaches for when ideas run thin. Instead of serious policies on housing, wages, health or productivity, we get another round of division […]
