What a mess the renewable policy has become. The solution lies in a mix of new and old generation. Not on productive farm land but secondary land away from people. I know they have contributed millions into Inverell. People are voting with their own money with home solar and batteries.
Generating new money in regional towns is very hard so we can’t afford to throw the financial opportunities away. I cannot believe there is not isolated second rate farm land available. If the Nats are going to deprive farmers of income from renewables, what are they putting up as an alternative?
