The viaduct has a history of getting vehicles stuck. Edwards Coaches once purchased a double decker bus and one of their drivers thought it was a good idea to short cut under the viaduct. The top deck did not fit.

Another time a city council truck loaded with plant equipment, maybe a backhoe or forklift I can’t remember, hit hard into the via-duct I do remember the driver who shall remain nameless.
