Spending money to make money

Sadly, ARC is not about making money, just spending it; their ideas of investing in the future also seem to me to be out of whack.

Why are our roads in such a state… particularly Barney Street, a busy road that is used, many times a day, by both buses and ambulances, not to mention a handy connection from the railway station.

Why are car parks, a partial part of the Town Swimming pool, TAFE, the Library, the buildings at the Tip, not covered in solar panels which would provide enough electricity to power their extensive buildings – including the street lights?

Has anyone questioned how much the street lighting costs? How much it uses?

Indeed, the full cost of electricity to the entire council buildings, per year?

Can James Roncon tell us? More to the point, does he even know? Does he even care?

Tourists: It’s all very well to apply for grants to fund events so tourists can come, but when they get here and see the state of the roads, are they going to be impressed?

There are many dangerous crossings in the CBD – some of which our erstwhile Mayor has been made aware, but has yet to do anything about.

We need answers.
