DON’T RISK DUTTON
Peter Dutton’s relentless attacks on Australia’s education system are nothing short of a disgraceful, cynical assault on the very institutions that prepare our children for the future. His inflammatory rhetoric about “left-wing indoctrination” in schools is not just baseless—it’s a deliberate lie designed to stoke fear, divide the public, and distract from the real issues plaguing education under Coalition neglect.
A War on Teachers and Truth
Dutton’s accusations are an insult to the hardworking educators who dedicate their lives to shaping young minds. The idea that teachers are some sort of radical activist army is absurd and offensive. These are the same professionals who struggle with overcrowded classrooms, lack of resources, and ever-increasing workloads—yet instead of offering solutions, Dutton chooses to vilify them.
Worse still, his rhetoric undermines education itself. What he calls “indoctrination” is actually the teaching of facts—Indigenous history, climate science, and social justice aren’t radical leftist conspiracies; they are essential components of a modern, informed education. His attack is nothing more than an attempt to roll back progress and keep students ignorant of the realities of the world around them.
The Real Education Crisis: Coalition Neglect
If Dutton truly cared about education, he would be addressing the catastrophic failures of his own party. Under the Coalition, public schools have been chronically underfunded, teacher shortages have worsened, and student outcomes have declined. Australia is falling behind globally in literacy and numeracy, yet Dutton would rather manufacture a fake culture war than confront the uncomfortable truth: his party has gutted the very system he now pretends to be concerned about.
Instead of attacking educators, why isn’t he demanding smaller class sizes? Higher teacher salaries? More investment in struggling schools? Because he doesn’t care. His real goal is to weaponize education as a political football, using fear and misinformation to whip up his base while offering absolutely nothing in terms of real policy.
Enough is Enough
Dutton’s fear mongering must be called out for what it is: a disgraceful, baseless attack on public education designed to distract from his party’s failures. It is straight out of the Trump playbook.
Australia’s students, teachers, and parents deserve better than this cynical, self-serving political theatre.
If Dutton truly wants to improve education, let’s see him fight for funding, for teacher support, for better outcomes—not cheap, divisive rhetoric that does nothing but harm the very people he claims to be defending.
After his latest attack on education, teachers, educators, parents, and anyone who values education in this country needs to seriously consider their vote in the upcoming election!
